Some Self-Help Tips to Try

They say nobody’s perfect. Yes, while this is true, we always strive to get as close as we can. If this is especially true for you, then here are a few tips you might want to try:

  1. Be the change. Thinking negative thoughts or focusing on the negative things about your life or your self won’t change thing or solve the problem. It will only make you feel bad. Try to think: “I can fix it!” If you can’t do something yourself, ask for help. If you aren’t happy with your weight, eat healthier and exercise! Don’t like the way your nose looks? Have something done! (Find out more about that here: http://www.alaxis.sg/nose-filler-permanent/) Don’t complain. Do something.
  2. Stop and look. Look at all the things in your life that bring you joy and happiness. Appreciate them. Take a look at even your surroundings. Nature. Life. It’s amazing that you’re alive! Once in a while it’s good to remind yourself that.
  3. Take small, manageable steps to removing bad habits. Saying things like “I promise never to do (insert bad habit here) again!” only makes you feel worse when you do break it. So, stepping stones. Tell yourself not to do it for the next 24 hours. Then try 3 days. Then a week. Before you know it, you’ll be rid of that habit for good. The key is gradual, manageable change.
